Friday, September 1, 2006 - Tasted at the winery. Dark cherry nose. On the palate, this wine exhibits notes of blackberry jam and milk chocolate. Rich and creamy texture. Medium-full body. Some tannin on the finish. My one complaint is that the wine did not seem to improve in the glass; over a period of 15 minutes or so, the wine started to shut down and I began to detect some stemmy favors. Quite honestly, the first sip was the best, which is what the score is based upon.
