Thursday, December 28, 2017 - Bought this from the winery in July, so has presumably been perfectly stored, did not seem past its prime. Decanted for 3 hours. Very rich nose of blackberry, with some mild earthiness and mushrooms. Very rich and full bodied, get a lot of fruit at first (blackberry), then some leather, but then the flavor fades to oak. Soft tannins, buttery texture. Very nice and drinkable, but perhaps a little overboard with the oak.
