Monday, November 9, 2020 - Great bottle that evolved nicely over the course of the evening, as the previous review suggests. Still displays a purple red medium/dark color with vibrant signs of life. On the nose, unmistakable California cab: lots of dark fruit, forest floor, sweet cassis, leather. Tannins are a bit on the light side at this point, but still register. A nice laser beam of oak runs right through the nose, to palate to finish, classically styled and definitely to my liking. Drank out of a magnum over about an hour and a half, didn't fade one bit, so probably still has a few years in it. As an aside, this vintage has held up really well with most northern Cal producers, this bottle being no exception.
