Sunday, August 8, 2021 - Decanted 1 hr. Opened this as a hedge on a 1996 Silver Oak I opened (was faded but still solid) and found it also past it’s prime but still pretty tasty. Dark fruit on the nose - blackberry and dark cherry. On the palate the dark blueberry and blackberrry fruit was secondary to roasted coffee and woody notes. Still had medium + tannin. Medium finish. Feels like it’s prime days are behind it - but still a decent showing.
