Wednesday, February 11, 2015 - Second bottle; much better than the first with no sign of being prematurely advanced. Pale canary yellow with a slightly bright green tinge. The nose was filled with citrus, wood and earthy truffle accents. The palate was medium bodied and well balanced; mostly citrus with the earthiness creeping up on the back end and leaving a slightly bitter impression. Doesn't scream Meursault but then again Blagny is one of those regions in Burgundy that seems to blend certain characteristics from each of the surrounding villages in the Cote de Blancs. Very enjoyable but another year of rest should make it all the better.
