Friday, August 12, 2016 - Deep golden color with a nose of bruised apple, cider, necatrine and honey suckle. On the palate the wine starts off deep, rich and intense with flavors of creme brulee and orchard fruits. This is an intense wine with an extremely long finish, but it is not over-the-top. It reminds me of a Batard-Montrachet - which makes sense given that this vineyard lies just below this Grand Cru on the hill. After an hour, the wine showed less richness and more minerallity and spice notes, still with a very long finish. A great wine! Drink now.
