Wednesday, March 15, 2017 - Northern Rhone Blind Tasting: Clear, medium-ruby color. Developed, secondary nose- earth-spices, rosemary, violets, bacon fat, fig and cherry fruit. Silky and elegant on the palate, with bright cherry fruit, mineral (stone), wild flowers, tea leaf, rosemary- nicely open and accessible. Medium-plus acid, with fine grainy tannins. Medium-plus length finish. Most ready to drink out of the lineup. Very elegant- surprised at the reveal.
