Saturday, August 18, 2007 - Open, into decanter and pour. Just a little sediment, cork was perfect. Opaque purple fading to dark pink on the edges. Big, smoky, dark fruit nose, with a tiny bit of heat. Screams smokey blueberry and raspberry on the attack, with mild tannins and some lively acidity to balance the blue/red fruit. Finishes with hints of pepper and juicy blackberry. Long, silky, finish with a little menthol skittering around the edges. Gorgeous Bordeaux blend. This will be sublime in three to four years, but drinking beautiful right now. Hard to wait....
