Thursday, November 23, 2023 - Popped and poured. This is a pale red tilting to orange wine with a meaningful amount of sediment at the end of the bottle (enough that I should have decanted). The nose is highly expressive and fragrant, displaying rosehips, crushed leaves, beef bouillon cubes, and black cherry. In the mouth, the wine is crisp and focused, highlighting assorted red fruits and the overall structure of the wine. The finish is moderately long and juicy, with fully absorbed tannins and an echo of the earlier autumnal aspects. Overall, I found this to be a beautiful, pure wine – it is showing great right now and was an excellent choice for Thanksgiving. 94 points.
