Saturday, October 19, 2013 - Slow ox for for a few hours and then decanted for 1-2 hours. A sip on open revealed bright black fruit and loads of relatively fine, approachable tannin. With air, revealed more savory notes, though this is still quite primary and fruity, with earth and savory notes clearly playing second fiddle for now. Yes, it is relatively modernist, interventionist, fruit-forward, or whatever one wants to call Aldo Conterno, but it is very nice juice. Approachable now with sufficient air but with plenty of reason to give them another five-ten years.
