Decanting is certainly beneficial as it is tight and showed better on the second day. (I kept pouring from the bottle over 5 hours, then just put the cork back on the half full bottle without any vacuum pump or argon gas, and placed it in the cellar. I drank over another 4 hours on the second day.)
It's rich with dark fruits, some rustic earth, and a hint of high quality balsamic vinegar.
While this was good, I just wasn't blown away. In fact, I was a little disappointed given its price point. Objectively, I thought it was about 92 points, but I want to be screaming at least 94 points when I pay this much.
