Monday, April 21, 2008 - Had this last night with leg of lamb. Very volatile at first, with hard edged tannins. With time it softens just a bit. Under the VA is some very complex and interesting aromas of game, leather, and musk. Red berry raspberry fruit is there but secondary to the animal flavors. Interesting wine that requires some work to appreciate now, this should be better in another 7+ years. I think it has enough stuffing to last.
