Sunday, December 10, 2017 - The bottle was in perfect condition. The wine was medium garnet in colour and offered dried red fruit, blackberry, prune, spices, black pepper, herbs and gamy notes as well as hints of liquorice and smoke on the nose. On the palate, the wine showed sweet, dried red fruit, dried blackberry, spices, black pepper, herbs and some liquorice, complemented by pleasant gamy notes, with medium-level acidity, fine, medium-level tannin and great length of the sweet, spice & herb infused finish. The medium-bodied wine only had average concentration, but good complexity and was balanced and incredibly smooth. A very good wine and dangerous stuff! Yummy! I would recommend decanting for one hour.
