Monday, April 22, 2024 - Pleasantly surprised for how this wine has held up over the past 15 years. (And I've owned it since release...) Still quite a lot of depth and concentration of dark berry fruit, black currant, eucalyptus, vanilla and leather. A lot of complexity here. Drank half at dinner and then finished it the next afternoon and it really held up well overnight. Tannins are lush, but very smooth and broad at this stage of development. I would feel comfortable with another 5-7 years in the cellar, but it's drinking beautifully right now.
