Sunday, January 17, 2021 - 45% Cabernet Franc, 43% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 6% Petit Verdot. Blue Mountain, Red Mountain, and Va Piano vineyards. Aged 20 months in French oak (50% new).
Decanted and showing moderate sediment.
Moderate aromas display leathery notes that suggest worn suede with notes of mocha, dark cherry and cassis notes that mingle with sage like herbs, toffee, vanilla, spice and hints of floral tea.
The palate reveals firm, full tannins and moderate/moderate+ acidity. Smoothly textured and flavors that bring in notes of mocha, vanilla, leather, sage, cherry, cassis, spice and oak that linger through the chewy finish.
