This is the second wine of Ch. La Louvière, and 1988 is the first vintage made. It was aged in oak barrels (30% new oak) for a year. The 37 ha of La Louvière’s vineyards are planted mainly with cabernet sauvignon (70%), along with 20% merlot and 10% cabernet franc, a blend which is largely reflected in the L de La Louvière wine.
Good blackcurrant nose. Significant tannins at the moment.
