Friday, April 28, 2017 - Decanted about 3 hours. Dark garnet, no real signs of age. Quiet nose, red fruits predominant. Smooth palate, red fruits and some pencil lead, good structure. Medium/long finish. Seemed a bit shut down compared to the last bottle, though I have not used that term often with Bordeaux. Quite understated after the '86 Gruaud Larose that preceded it.
