Friday, August 23, 2019 - We opened this bottle on a Friday night with guests. The cork split but I was able to retrieve the bottom half without too much cork getting into the juice and was relieved to see some pressure still upon the removal of the remaining half of the cork.. The nose revealed an abundance of dark fruit. What I tasted was that dark fruit with some graphite, vanilla and spice.

I, like other Diamond Creek enthusiasts have seen the beautiful 1999 Volcanic Hill vintage nosedive over the past 6 months. Regarding the 1999 Red Rock Terrace...I highly recommend consumption in the near future as some cloudiness protruded into the glass on this pour. I have 2 more in the cellar and they are at the top of the "drink now" list.
