Sunday, December 22, 2019 - A small holiday gathering (Eddie V's - Tysons Corner, VA): Perfectly mature complex DRC nose displaying subtle red and black fruit, blackberry, black cherry, a hint of strawberry, roasted nuts, Vosne spice, licorice, truffle, caramel, cinnamon, coffee, soy, cedar, iron and earth. Perfectly harmonious palate, very finely layered subtle black fruit, silky, fine detail and slightly lean, bright acidity, strong earthy mineral and a long subtle yet decadent black fruit driven finish. The palate is slightly lean but it is drinking perfectly.
