Thursday, November 3, 2016 - November 3, 2016 - You know how sometimes you can just pour a glass of wine and know it's going to be good? Very dark lustrous purple, the colour of cooked beetroot. And what a nose. Dark small berries, herbs, licorice and a hint of camphor (Wrights coal tar soap).

Very concentrated red berry fruit, mouth coating tannins, firm acidity and a slightly sour cherry crunchiness not unlike a good Chianti. This is fabulous and can be enjoyed young or old. Yes of course it needs a minimum of another five years to pull together but this is irresistible now. Mortgage the farm and buy a couple of cases. Fantastic stuff.
