Sunday, May 5, 2019 - Vinetasters: Ridge Monte Bello (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. Very raw oak on the nose here. Sweet and young, pretty much too prickly to be approached now. There’s some high-toned red fruit/cough syrup things going on with the palate that I’m not too keen on as well. The finish shows a lot of raw tannin -- likely a super young example. My 10th, group's 3rd.
