Friday, October 22, 2021 - Intense dark cherry, vanilla, cedar, and oak on the nose. Took about an hour to 90 minutes to open up and release these aromas. They are well integrated. In the mouth I can still taste cherry but it is hidden behind a layer of sweet floral candy - a very light musk stick lolly taste. After that the saltiness and an almost iiodine hint kick in which is a saviour of an otherwise to sweet wine. Tanins are good ro excellent and well integrated and also help to balance the musk. I suspect it's a great wine from a bad vintage. Would love to try it in a good year.
