Sunday, May 5, 2019 - Regrettably a disappointment with very muted dark red fruit, an abundance or licorice and non-existent finish. Hoping it was just a bad bottle, or perhaps the suspect '11 vintage, since Home Ranch is normally stellar. Bummed....
UPDATED New Years Eve 2020: I take back what I said! This was a very nice, well structured Zin and what we expect from Home Ranch. Consistent bing cherry with licorice notes, well managed acidity and a pleasant, but not lengthy, white pepper finish.
