Friday, November 20, 2020 - Drank over two nights, pouring the first night from Coravin, popping the cork the second night. Sipped over a couple of hours before and during a meal the first night and again the second night. I really loved this as it unfolded and changed over time. Beginning with waffs of smoke, floral notes, dried herbs and hints of mushroom, into pipe tobacco, old library leather, and then some iron rust; with time in the glass, and particularly on the second night, umami - soy, sous bois, and some gaminess. I really enjoyed it all. Very nice pairing with duck breast the second night.

Nice sub-$40 value from Envoyer.
