2010 Antinori Tignanello

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Monday, January 6, 2020 - Too young; it's entered a secondary phase, but it's still holding back. Medium-dark ruby core, no sign of age. The nose offers trace soil, some vanilla, and creme de cassis - but these need coaxed even after the bottle's been open some 90 minutes. I took a chance, based on some reviews that this is ready - it's far from it. Consider looking at this from 2023-2033 for a much more complete, and enjoyable, showing. The 14,0% abv. is fully integrated, the tannins are lightly sweet and very fine. This should come around nicely; I like the med/med+ body, and the freshness of the acidity. HOLD. recommended+
