Thursday, October 29, 2015 - Our friend was departing for Korea so we thought a good Cab Sav with some nice French cheese would be a fitting start to a Kimchi weekend! Ooolahlah...loving breaking bread with good peeps. Our previous note refers: "We love California. Although the bottle says "Cabernet Sauvignon", a quick look at the Unity website indicates it is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec and 2% Petite Verdot. A bit more Left Bank Bordeaux, but who who cares? Dark red. Barrel on the nose along with soft red fruit. Cherries and medium-sized tannins on the palate. Reasonably long finish. We think it will lay-down a bit longer. It is delicious bordering on succulent. We are family...big fan of the Fisher Family's efforts!" One more bottle to sip next year!
