Sunday, September 5, 2004 - I purchased this on release for around $45. The nose was reticent at first, but after 90 minutes was really pumping out berry aromas. Supple dark fruit shaded with caramel and green bell pepper notes. Most thought that this wine had the best balance, complexity, and finish. Finished first in a blind tasting of assorted Napa cabs from 1996-2001.
