Community Tasting Note

Monday, May 18, 2009 - Surprisingly, the robe hasn't evolved as much as you might expect from an 83 demi; there is bricking at the edge but the color is dark through the body of the wine. Quite musty on opening but cultivated a rose-petal, black cherry nose. Forest floor and mushroom notes underpinned the whole thing. Similar on the nose and palate, fading finish. Drink now if this is representative, but I'm not sure it is - I think this was kept poorly for most of its life.
