Friday, May 12, 2017 - Italian food at Pasta Maker and a 1983 Haut Brion. What a wonderful match.
The Haut Brion (despite its 30+ years) was still fresh and vibrant and clearly out shined a 1992 La Fleur Petrus which was dry and uninspired. It showed rich dark fruit with touches of cedar and graphite. Wonderful in the mouth, balanced and with a lovely finish.
