Wednesday, December 28, 2016 - Decanted the wine and let it breathe for about a half hour before drinking. Clean garnet color. Nose and taste were a bit sharp upon opening but the wine settled down nicely to a soft, fruity tasting experience that nicely complemented my roast duck. Although a bit light on fruit, the wine had matured very nicely and was in good balance with no evidence of off-taste. Should last at least a couple more years.
