Saturday, October 27, 2012 - HDH auction tasting at Tru (Chicago, IL): From magnum. An austere but textbook LLC nose. Dark red fruit and a hint of barnyard. Not particularly rich or deep, this is an excellent drinking LLC, where everything is in good balance. A bit lighter in terms of concentration, but a lovely vein of acidity to complement the sweet dark fruit. Vanishing tannins.
