Saturday, January 30, 2021 - Decanted ~1h. Consumed over 3 days. A salted caramel taste with topping of sweet spices, a polished cherry fruit, a bit of green bell pepper and menthol and pinches of black tea and pencil shavings. A juicy, fresh berry fruit palate larded with sweet notes. Tannins still with quite a bit of grip, but feeling pretty smooth. The caramel touch was fabulous and pretty unique even for an estate that is mostly known for its traditional, classic style. But at the same time it is a bit of a one-trick pony as well.
