Thursday, May 29, 2014 - I decanted this and have to disagree with the popular sentiment here. Primarily Zinfandel, this bursts onto the palate with tart raspberry, strawberry, and brambly bush and herb. There's a wet-fur quality on the nose, for me at this point, and dark brooding quality on the mid-palate, however short-lived. Heat showing through on the nose and the backend. Bright and medium-full bodied. Medium acid. Nice neutral oak influence.
