Monday, June 9, 2014 - Finally opened the 2012 Enderle & Moll 'M' (Muschelkalk meaning limestone) Pinot Noir. Compared to the other single site wine 'B' which was very floral with spice and animal notes reminiscent of a Morey Grand Cru, the 'M' was much more densely structured with pure Pinot fruit, great freshness and cut. Sumptuous like a Richebourg, the 'M' is a very different expression of Pinot. It's hard to say which I think will last longer, the haunting perfume of 'B' or the purity and cut of 'M'. I think the best solution is to open a bottle of both every year and see how they develop.
