Yesterday, it was a little on the simple side, showing mostly one dimensional red fruit, but today, lots of nice things blossomed on the flavor side. The wine is only medium bodied, but there are the beginnings of layers of concentration. Yes red fruit is in the forefront, but there are supporting secondary flavors of vanilla, red licorice, light caramel and lead pencil. Nicely satisfying raspberry jam flavor on the roof of the mouth. Medium short finish, but this scored it's points by then.
