Promising aromas of fruit upon pulling the cork. Decanted this to allow it to warm since I didn't plan ahead for this bottle. Lots of sediment. Dark red, purple hue to the deep red core and some bricking on the edges. Aromas of spice, dark red fruit, toasted oak, and as it had more air time- bacon. Flavors of earth, some fruit, tobacco, tar. Very long finish.
