Sunday, September 8, 2013 - Purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this deep garnet wine shows aromas of Asian spices, fig, cocoa, plum and earth. Round and medium-bodied on the palate, its flavors mirror the nose and are framed by silky residual tannins and well-integrated alcohol (listed as 13%). Layered and building throughout the middle, it concludes with a soft, lengthy finish. This St. Estèphe is fully mature and delicious to drink. Well-cellared bottles should remain enjoyable for at least another 5-7 years. Drink now-2020.
