Sunday, March 15, 2020 - This is firmly in its drinking window, but still benefits from a few hours in the decanter. It is an excellent wine but hasn't really elevated over the last couple of years. Blackcurrant, plum, earth and tobacco dominate the wine, which has good depth and balance. Likewise the finish is lengthy. However, the tannin is over harsh on the palate and finish. It is a very enjoyable wine displaying secondary and tertiary notes, but is overshadowed by the great left bankers from the year. 94+
