Wednesday, October 13, 2021 - Decanted one hour before serving. Deep garnet/tawny color. Aromas of dark berries, prunes, a little bit of funk, and perhaps a hint of truffle. Medium-plus body with medium-low acid and medium-to-medium-plus grippy tannins. Blackberry, prunes, dark cherry syrup, cola, and only a touch of earthiness. Felt a tad thin mid-palate. Only the color gave away its age.
