Sunday, December 18, 2022 - Tasted blind, this wine had a medium yellow center and clear rims. The medium intensity nose showed almond paste, lemon zest, apricot, and white stone.

While this wine's impact felt refined and beautifully balanced, the reality was it had huge richness, glycerin, and length. As usual with the 1985s, this was so clean and streamlined that it required a lot of air and some attention to reveal it greatness.

While this was drinking now with 3+ hours in a decanter, it will certainly last a decade or so.
