Monday, February 2, 2015 - (decanted for 3+ hours). Yes please! What a wine! Deep purple colour. Intensely pronounced nose with deep, dark berry compote of blackberries, fresh plums, black cherries, cool blueberries, smoke from both Wood and varietal, clove spice, pine needles, roast and toast, some malo-creamyness/yoghurt but not too much, and somehow the faintest hint of reduction still, but it basically only adds to the complexity that also includes cracked Black peppercorns. Taste fully delivers, the wine is extremely rich, but very well balanced. There are lots of soft, smooth tannins and a very long finish. Incredible wine!
