Sunday, September 9, 2018 - Not to everyone's taste, probably - this is smoky, toasty and somewhat rustic at first sniff. But it has enviable typicity and real Crozes identity. An impressively assertive expression of Syrah, with real spice and savoury seriousness. Some exciting brambly fruit in there as well. I like it. I also think it's young, despite being eight years old at this point. I think in another eight it'll lost some of its jagged edges and be super.
