Marco is very generous in opening very old and/or very expensive bottles each time we are his guests.
Immense deep purple color; very powerful nose: chocolate and violets; you can smell the wine almost a half a meter away.
It almost blows you away. For me: too much new world and too much sweet fruit. Michael Broadbent would say: "Overblown"
The wine did not really match the superb Ribeye on the bone, from Scottish beef cows, served with it. It was too powerful instead of blending in...
