Saturday, March 19, 2022 - Medium red bright and only slight brick color on rim. Medium tannins and acidity. Medium weight. Surprisingly fresh blackfruits, blackberry and some prune/raisin/fig. The nose is fresh black cherry. Over three hours some fruit faded and tannins became more pronounced. Not sure why I waited so long to drink this wine, now 22 years old, but this California bordeaux blend exceeded my expectation and I'm glad I have five more bottles.
