Thursday, January 26, 2017 - The wine showed a nice straw color. At age 18, it showed no brown or gold in the color. The nose was tropical fruit and lychee. On the palate the wine was just a beauty. Exotic fruit, lychee and a hint of bitterness that is often the case with a dry Gewurztraminer. It is fresh, minerally and in perfect balanced. It was not particularly high in acidity but enough for bringing freshness in the context of this rich wine. It was in perfect condition. The wine was actually dry but the fruit and richness made it seem a bit sweet. We had it with three curries and it was perfect. This is one of the best Gewurztraminer of my drinking experience.
