Friday, September 16, 2016 - From a weaker vintage this is a very nice bottle of wine. The cork came out perfectly clean. The color is quite deep with still enough brightness. The sediment was light. The bouquet is leather and tobacco with a touch of cedar and earth. On the palate the wine is moderately tannic. The flavor is consistent with the bouquet. Then wine is a bit austere but not dried out. It is beginning at the front half of maturity. No hurry but with more time it will be lighter but perhaps a bit more complex. It really depends on whether you like that stage of a wine to wait longer. Great performance from the 1993 vintage.
