Thursday, October 3, 2013 - the eternal quest to find my 'house' pinot - a young Oregon Pinot between $14 and $19 that I pour regularly, casually, and always enjoy. Nominees are usually Broadley, Grochau, and all comers. This Hamacher H is an early release 2012 and points to the promise of the vintage. Opaque red in glass, Raspberry and Blackberry fruit on nose and in mouth. Ready to enjoy for next three years. "H" is more of a contender than in previous years for me.
