Saturday, August 10, 2013 - Took to a 60th birthday party of one of our wine group members, so had some stiff competition, including a 01 William Cole, 06 Dunn HM, 97 Montelena and an 04 Bachus. The only one, IMHO, that gave it a run was the Bachus. The Grange has amazing black cherry and cinnamon on the nose, with a long, vanilla-tinged expression on the palate. This was my first bottle of Grange. Although some (including Parker) indicated this was an off year, we found it imminently enjoyable.
