The wine needed a little air after opening, but it got darker (from its initially light and rusty color) and the fruit came into the foreground with the acid receding. Very drinkable and in a very elegant, earthy style. Certainly well past peak, but it's still fun to drink. Definitely didn't seem heat damaged.
