Thursday, August 28, 2014 - Dark ruby in color, this wine showed very muted aromatics of wild cherry, spice and mocha. The mouth feel was surprisingly soft for a zin and brought muted brambly tones. The finish was medium in length with soft tannins and added stewed strawberry notes.

Purchased BTB at Domaine Hudson wine bar & eatery in Wilmington, DE (which I founded in 2005 and sold in 2011), this bottle seemed somewhat off with its muted nose. I've enjoyed this offering over the years and its usually much more expressive.
